TRAVELLING TO ROTTNEST
Transfers across to Rottnest Island can be booked through one of the two ferry operators. The ferry operators will provide luggage labels that will include both your onward and return information.
If you book your passage more than seven days in advance the ferry operator will send your luggage labels to your nominated address. Alternatively, if you book within seven days of departure you will receive labels at the ferry terminal and an additional charge will be incurred.
If your return date changes during your stay, as long as you advise your ferry operator and your destination does not change, your return labels are still valid. Alternatively replacement labels can be obtained from the Visitor Centre on the island.

DELIVERY OF LUGGAGE
To ensure the smooth delivery of your luggage it is essential that it be correctly labelled with the ferry operator supplied tags. We are only able to deliver luggage up to a maximum weight of 22kg per piece.
Items such as bicycles, surfboards, kayaks, gas cylinders and fishing rods are unable to be delivered and need to be collected directly from the ferry on arrival at Rottnest.
Alcohol will not be delivered to Kingstown hostel, dormitories or the camping ground.
LUGGAGE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
'Information Packs' are no longer posted out when you make a booking. Everything that you need to know about your stay on Rottnest Island can be found on our website or through the Visitor Centre on the Island.
Rottnest Island check-in time is from 2pm with keys available from the Visitor Centre, which is found at the Island end of the main jetty.
If you wish to leave a mobile phone number at the Visitor Centre when you reach the Island, staff will send an SMS message if your unit is ready for check in before 2pm. Check-in must be completed by the person whose name is on the booking or a resident from the same address provided at the time of booking and suitable ID will be requested.
Check out is 9am.
If you are staying at the Camping Ground please check in at the Visitor Centre and collect your sticker that should be attached to your tent to confirm your site.

Linen & Hire Equipment
Please remember that linen is not supplied to the Caroline Thomson cabins, Governors Circle or Kingstown dormitories. You may hire linen for this accommodation by contacting Central Reservations.
Requests for additional hire items or king beds need to be made 24 hours in advance of your arrival, to Central Reservations.

Rottnest Island has a number of shops to cater to your needs while staying on the Island.
If you would like to order your food and groceries online prior to arriving, the Rottnest General Store will deliver and unpack any items to be refrigerated free of charge.

The Bike Hire is located behind the Hotel Rottnest, which is a five-minute stroll from the main arrival jetty.

If you have booked a rental mooring online, you no longer need to collect a sticker from the Visitor centre but can simply keep a copy of your confirmation on board. If you alter your stay and need to make an additional payment, please do this at the Visitor Centre upon your arrival.
